Information About Pledging
DTD
Are you a new pledge of
Delta Tau Delta? Congratulations on joining the best
fraternity on campus! We're happy to have you as a
new member. When you first join our chapter, there
are a few things we need to have to.
Monthly Dues
Delta Tau Delta charges it's members dues every
month. We don't do this because we want to and
it's certainly not so we can make money.
Rather, we have several expenses that we incur on
your behalf, such as liability insurance, membership
dues with our International Fraternity, etc., that
we have to pay to keep you as a member. These
change slightly from year to year. For the
2009-2010 academic year, pledge dues are $40 for
each month that you are a member, starting no
earlier than August and ending no later than May.
New Member Profile Sheet
Delta Tau Delta uses a financial service called
Omega Financial to handle the collection of all of
its bills (click here to read more about DTD's
relationship with Omega). In other words,
you'll always pay your monthly dues directly to
Omega. In order to create an account with the
company, you have to fill out their new member
profile sheet. This short form needs to be
filled out and returned to the chapter president
before you can become a Delt! A copy of the
new member profile sheet can be found under the
"Omega Financial" link at the top of the page.
Member Contract with Omega Financial
In addition to the new member profile sheet, Omega
Financial also requires that each of our members
sign their member contract. This contract also
needs to be signed and returned to the
chapter president or treasurer before you'll become
a Delt. A copy of the contract can be found
under the "Omega Financial" link at the top of the
page.
Initiation Fee
After completing the Delta Tau Delta pledge program,
it's time to make you a full member of the
fraternity! When this happens, usually about
10 weeks after you pledge, you'll be guided through
our formal initiation ceremony and given all rights
and privileges that come with being a Delt.
There is a one-time fee that we are required to
collect on behalf of our International Fraternity -
we don't see a dime of this money! The amount
varies slightly from year to year. For the
2009-2010 academic year, the one-time initiation fee
is $299.75. Note: this fee is waived for
the pledge with the highest GPA in his class!! |

This site
was created and will remain forever in the loving
memory of John E. Blake III. Jeb was the first
person to create a website for Gamma Theta Chapter.
Even today, his ingenuity, passion, and love for
Delta Tau Delta can be seen in every page he created
and are echoed through the countless awards he
earned for the chapter. Jeb Blake was a Delt
in the truest sense. |
